(7) Prophecies That Must Be Fulfilled Before Jesus Christ's Return.

Previous generations have thought that Jesus Christ would return in their lifetimes, but they were proven wrong. Many people alive today think that Christ's return is imminent. Certainly, the Bible contains prophecies that could not have been fulfilled until this generation.

The Bible contains several prophecies that are believed to precede Jesus Christ’s return. While the exact timing remains unknown, here are seven significant prophecies:

Establishment of Israel: The re-establishment of a Jewish homeland in Israel is a crucial sign.

Global Gospel Preaching: The message of the Gospel will reach all corners of the world.

Worldwide Communications: Advanced communication technology will exist before the final two witnesses.

Natural Disasters: Widespread natural calamities will occur.

War and Violence: Conflict and violence will be rampant.

False Prophet: A charismatic and convincing false prophet will emerge.

Persecution of God’s People: Believers will face persecution and even death.

Remember, the exact day and hour of Christ’s return remain unknown, but these signs serve as reminders to stay vigilant and prepared.

Shortly before His crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus Christ delivered a major prophecy of end-time events, recorded in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. He was asked by His disciples: "When will these things be? And what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?" (Matthew 24:3).

Jesus responded with a description of conditions and events that would lead up to His second coming. Moreover, He said that when these signs became evident, His return would occur within one generation (Matthew 24:34). Could this be that generation?

Throughout the nearly 2,000 years since Christ gave His prophecy, many have thought that theirs was the time of His return—and turned out to be wrong, of course. But interestingly, there are a number of prophecies in the Bible that could not be fulfilled until our modern era, the post–World War II period.

Jesus said that when these signs became evident, His return would occur within one generation.

1-The human race would have the ability to exterminate itself.

2-A Jewish homeland had to be reestablished in the Middle East.

3-The end-time king of the North and king of the South.

4-An end-time union of European nations.

5-End-time rise and fall of Israel and Judah.

6-The gospel will be preached in all the world.

7-Instant worldwide communications and God's final witnesses.

Will this generation see God's Kingdom established on Earth?

We have seen how seven biblically prophesied circumstances could not have come to pass until recent times. Many have pondered this question, including Christ’s disciples who asked, “What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3).

The Bible tells about what life will be like in the time period before Christ’s return to earth. These are known as the end times. The resources here will help you learn more about what is predicted to happen and the signs of the times that can help us determine where we are on the timeline of biblical prophecies about the end of the world. Here we go.

These seven prophecies, some fulfilled and some unfulfilled, must come to pass before Jesus Christ returns to earth. For the first time in history, each one is possible. Will this generation see Jesus' return?

Is God bringing about the fulfillment of prophecies written in Ezekiel 38 and 39?

I encourage you to study Ezekiel 38, 39. What you find is, this Russian Iranian alliance, it's forming against Israel, but it's coming primarily from the North. Now, Lebanon and Syria are not mentioned, but much of the force comes from the North against the mountains of Israel. Well, where are the major mountains of Israel?

They're on the border with Lebanon and they're on the border with Syria, the Golan Heights, Okay? So you'd be expecting the Russian Iranian forces primarily to come from the North though you'd ever, others surrounding Israel in other ways. Now, this is what God says happens. Now, if you go through these texts and I encourage you to do it, especially in the current environment.

You will not find any country that comes to Israel's defense. No country's described as rushing to Israel's aid. Not the European Union, not Canada, not the UN, not the US. I understand that at a certain moment, it doesn't look like it could possibly be true, but we teach it anyway.

We don't have to connect all the dots. That's not our responsibility. It's to teach the text and the text says this is gonna happen. So in other words, it doesn't mention the United States, but it doesn't say that any country will come. This will, what will happen is that Israel will be the most isolated, most cutoff, most threatened, most endangered in all of human history. And then what happens? Verse six, um, verse 18 of chapter 38.

It will come about on that day when Gog comes against the land of Israel, declares the Lord God. That my fury will mount up in my anger.

In my zeal and in my blazing wrath, I declare that on that day, there will surely be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field and all the creeping things that creep on the earth, and all the men who are on the face of the earth will shake at my presence.

The mountains will be thrown down, the steep pathways will collapse, every wall will fall to the ground. I will call for a sword against him" Him who? Gog the head of Russia. The head of this coalition.

"On my mountains declares the Lord God. Every man's sword will be against his brother. With pestilence and with blood, I will enter into judgment with him" With Gog. "And I will reign on him and on his troops and on the many peoples who are with him, a torrential rain with hailstones, fire and brimstone.

I will magnify myself, sanctify myself, and make myself known in the sight of many nations. And they will know that I am the Lord."

" Do you understand what's happening here? God is going to allow no nation to come to Israel's defense. Israel is gonna feel isolated, cutoff, endangered, about to be annihilated, wiped off the face of the earth. And when nobody comes to its aid, God will supernaturally step in. Why?

To show that Israel has no hope except for Him. To show the nations that he is God. There's going to be disease. There's going to be fire from heaven. There's going to be earthquakes. "

There's going to be, um, people will, the armies of the enemies of Israel will turn against each other and start attacking each other. It's going to be horrific, Apocalyptic. And God will do a supernatural work to physically save the Jewish people, the state of Israel, in the last days of history.

And He will do it to bring glory to Himself. Not because the people deserve it. Not because, you don't hear anything about people turning for prayer or fasting or begging God. He just does it.
