Light is defined as life, as seen in John 1:4

Image
Light is defined as life, as seen in John 1:4, “In Him was life; and the life was the light of men”. Those have faith through Him will have eternal life. This “life” is a gift Jesus brought from God into a dying world. Switch On the Light Bible Reading: Ephesians 5:8-14 Though your hearts were once full of darkness, now you are full of light from the Lord. Ephesians 5:8 Picture yourself strolling through a portrait art gallery. The room lights are on, but the spotlights that usually shine on the various paintings are off. With the room lights on, you can see the portrait frames. You might even be able to make out some of the faces in the portraits. But only when the spotlights are flipped on and an intense light beams down on each painting can you see all the details—the facial expressions, the skin tones, the eye colors. Only when the spotlights are on can you see the people as the artists intended you to see them. God shines his light on you—a light that shows who he created yo...

For you I did this I died for you, Will you live for me?

For you I did this I died for you, Will you live for me? Romans 5:8 ESV But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5 begins by describing some of the benefits that come with being declared righteous by God because of our faith in Christ. We have peace with God, and we stand in His grace. We rejoice both in the hope of God's glory and in our temporary suffering. We have hope that will not disappoint, because God has already proved His love for us. Paul then compares the work of Adam in bringing sin and death into the world with the work of Christ in dying for sin in order to offer God's free gift of grace to all who believe. What does Romans 5:8 mean? This is one of the most loved verses in the Bible, and the high point of a lengthier discussion. In previous verses, Paul clearly showed that salvation is on the basis of faith, not works (Romans 3:21–26). That justification—a declaration of righteousness—brings us peace with God...

What if 10% of Christians lived like they are supposed to.

What if 10% of Christians lived like they are supposed to. 1 Tim. 3:1-7 Walk the Talk. Transformation—the process of becoming holy—begins in your mind. We will see this in Bible study that the apostle Peter shows us how to begin to think differently, which will radically affect our behavior. We all make split-second decisions in any given moment to do right or wrong. To choose right, we must learn to be obedient to God, which will give us an appetite for being good. This kind of obedience will create a radical change in our relationships, so that our quality of life will improve. Finally, we will learn how to prepare for suffering that inevitably comes to everyone, as we trust a loving God who has promised to take care of us. Walk the Walk, Don’t Just Talk the Talk | Talk is Cheap. Be DOERS of God’s Word. Many Christians are willing to talk about their faith and about the Lord. Unfortunately, not all of those are obediently translating their faith into the actions and conduct com...

Trying to Follow Jesus When You’re Ashamed to be a Christian.

Image
Trying to Follow Jesus When You’re Ashamed to be a Christian. People fight for what they believe in. Around the world, they rise up and struggle for their causes. For some, that means fighting for civil liberties or freedom from oppression. Regardless of how different their cause, people are passionate about their particular interest or campaign, and want everyone else to know. Perhaps for you this means the right to express yourself however you want—and you do, with one exception: when it comes to admitting you’re a Christian. Why be afraid?. When Jesus was sent to earth to open a new and living way (Hebrews 10:20), the most compelling story of all time was written into history. As a human being, He overcame sin in His own body so that, for the first time ever, God’s will could be perfectly carried out in a person. There was only one chance for this mission to succeed: Jesus was tempted exactly like we are, and He never sinned. It was this life of faithfulness that qualified Him...

Conflicting religions fill the world

Image
Conflicting religions fill the world. Doctrines about God contradict one another. No one denies the diversity of religions and the apparent incompatibility of their core beliefs. Many believe only their own religion to be the truth. Some claim all religions reflect the same truth. Others assert that differing dogmas expose the emptiness of all religion. List of False Religions? As of 2021, there were approximately over 4200 religions in the world. We don't have a list of all of them, however we do have a list below of some we have been asked questions about. This list will be modified as we are asked questions about various other faiths. There is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ alone. Please see "Is Jesus the ONLY WAY to Heaven?" below. 1-Is Jesus the ONLY WAY to Heaven? 2-What is the Oldest Religion in the World? 3-What is apostasy? 4-What is heresy? 5-What is the meaning of the word cult? 6-Christological Heresies? 7-What is Buddhism? 8-What is Ch...

Bible and the Universe, Time to stop playing church with God

Image
Bible and the Universe, Time to stop playing church with God The one Psalmist does not use those exact words, but he drives the same point: God is tired of people attempting to play church, both actual saints and those who are pretend saints. The same is particularly true of the contemporary church scene as it involves God. What does it mean to “play church with God?” In so many terms, playing church with God by people associated with the church involves the pseudo worship intentions of going through the motions of church attending and praising of God during church meetings, but not living in loyal and vibrant fashion according to the principles and expectations of God the rest of the time. The consequences of such spur spiritual indifference and a failed Christian witness that is obviously not making much of a difference in communities at large. God says, “Gather my saints together unto me that have made a covenant with me … and I will testify against thee.” God says, according ...

My Opinion!?

Image
My Opinion!? I am curious here for one of the BIGGEST lies that individuals in the body of Christ tell each other in the church daily or on the sabbath when they come together to worship. Is that they claim to have the love of God within them, and that is a blatant lie of the HIGHEST kind. The reason WHY I say this is founded in ( Psalms 51:5 : Kjv ( Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me) ,So this only means that a diluted version of a carnal human understanding of fickleness is what is given to us as we're growing up,and lied to,and told that this is love. This falesness or lies becomes us,and this is what we give each other, and call it the love of God,and that is where the BIG lie comes in. ,So the sad part here is that this kind of love, and the love of GOD they do not match, and the character references of each of them are not even close. Revelation 3:17 (Niv) 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not ...
