What is racism really? And how do we end it?

What does this have to do with racism? Systemic racism has plagued America since the first Europeans came and began the genocide of the indigenous people. It then became a pandemic with the enslavement of Africans.

Racism is a form of prejudice that generally includes negative emotional reactions to members of a group, acceptance of negative stereotypes, and racial discrimination against individuals; in some cases it can lead to violence.

Discrimination refers to the differential treatment of different age, gender, racial, ethnic, religious, national, ability identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic, and other groups at the individual level and the institutional/structural level. Discrimination is usually the behavioral manifestation of prejudice and involves negative, hostile, and injurious treatment of members of rejected groups

Until now, fighting racism has been only marginally successful despite surface concessions from integration laws. “Surface,” because nothing that supposedly made America post-racial has decreased hate groups and their crimes.

They’ve reached the point where the Department of Defense considers them to be the greatest threat to national security. If this is “post-racial America,” how can that be possible?

prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.

Exploring your experiences with racism can bring up challenging feelings so be sure to give yourself deep self-care after you finish your worksheet. Soak in a hot bath, meditate, listen to soothing music… Do whatever makes you feel calm and centered.

Racism is an important topic we’re just beginning to discuss in America/Canada. If you’re comfortable doing so, sharing your art and your feelings about it can be the start of meaningful conversations with family, friends, co-workers and clients.

I am going to touch on something that is going to upset a few people here . Many will say that this is not true ,but it is.

Why do South Asian people or those who have come out of India , and places like that hate black people . If you have studied world history you can see that the black race or the Kemets who came out of Africa never had any dealings with the Indian race. For some strange reason these people have a strong hate for people of Color. They most likely hate themselves as well because of color.

Listen to this these people hate black people with such passion, and this hate is not justified . For world history has show from the Persians , Mongolians , Arabs etc , but the black race have/has never done any harm to these people, and the people who have done the harm the South Asian Indian people love these people to death . Lets talk about racism. They hate black people to a point that it is forbidden for there children sons , daughters to even consider the thought of marrying a black person. The people who have harmed there country by stealing there wealth these Indians love them to death, and will marry into there culture for according to them the people are not black also it's acceptable. How sad!

How does this make any sense, these people are just down right racist to the core . If you are a white man they believe without a shadow of a doubt that you are a good person , and if you are black you are a bad person , and they do not know anything about you they just judge you by what they see with there eyes.

It get's worse these people will look you straight in the face , and tell you that they're white because of there hair. The only thing white on then is there foot bottom , palm of there hands, there culture is not European . So if you are a white person these people will automatically like you . This is just a short for many things to read , but this is how it is with these people , and there racism.

If you notice they do not hold of have any true black friends that they can say they're close to , but they can point out there whites friends that they're close to racism. If these people could scrape the color off of there skin ( I just said a bad word color) to be white they would for these people are at the top of the racism chart . They just hate for the sake of hating , we as black people have not done anything wrong to these people , there country. Why? only they can explain , and this is just the surface of their hate. they're no better than the white supremacist , and these white supremacist also as well hate them . See how this makes no sense at all . Like I said this is just the surface of there hate do not be fooled by them.

Racism, also called racialism, is the belief that humans can be divided into separate and exclusive biological entities called “races"; that there is a causal link between inherited physical traits and traits of personality, intellect, morality, and other cultural and behavioral features; and that some races are innately superior to others.

Racism is defined as prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. Racism results in hatred, fear, and inhumane treatment toward someone because of the nation they’re from or the color of their skin.

Scripture teaches that God created all human beings in his image. There is no exception to that, and being made in God’s image makes each person valuable and precious. There is no hierarchy of human beings demonstrated throughout Scripture. Jesus came so that all may be saved.

The Bible makes it clear that racism is wrong and entirely contradictory to God’s command to love our neighbors, His unconditional love, and the teachings of Jesus.

There is no passage that specifically answers the question of how God feels about racism, but Scripture gives us plenty of guidance about God’s love for all people, God’s hand in creation, and what the Lord does hate.

Pride, dishonesty, and conflict are found at the root of racism; all are evil that God hates. Racism leads to a plethora of injustices, discrimination, and outpouring of evil toward fellow human beings. When we judge the fruit of racism, we see that this only produces evil, pain, and strife.

Jesus tore down the divisions of hate and prejudice between groups that hated one another. Some of Jesus’ ministry on earth was aimed at opposing racism. Racism is a grave consequence of the fall, and part of the redemptive work that Jesus did was to begin deconstructing racist ideologies and challenging the evil of racism in the world.

On an individual level, people must commit to being anti-racist for racism to end. While we just mentioned that systemic racism wouldn’t end even if everyone stopped being racist overnight, that first step in personal anti-racism is necessary for people to fight to end racist systems. Anti-racism is a lifelong pursuit. It isn’t an accomplishment you can check off a list; it’s a continuous self-reflection and willingness to be held accountable.

To be anti-racist, you must acknowledge differences rather than pretending they aren’t there. As an example, when addressing the gender pay gap, it’s essential to acknowledge that white women make more than Black, Hispanic, and Native women. At the same time, anti-racists must also identify the common goals they share with other racial groups. This helps build solidarity.

Anti-racists also commit to allyship and amplifying the voices of underrepresented groups. The role of an ally is a supportive one; it’s not an opportunity to play the savior. This support includes monetary support, speaking up when you witness racism, listening, and calling for more diverse representation. Mistakes will be made, but for racism to end, people must be willing to keep learning and keep trying. It’s the only way the world moves forward.
