Does the Bible justify the burning of witches?

What was the purpose of burning a witch? Burning at the stake was a traditional form of execution for women found guilty of witchcraft. Most accusations of witchcraft, however, did not originate in the church but resulted from personal rivalries and disputes in small towns and villages.

Where in the Bible does it talk about the witches?Prohibitions. Laws prohibiting various forms of witchcraft and divination can be found in the books of Exodus, Leviticus and Deuteronomy. These include the following (as translated in the King James Version): Exodus 22:18 – Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

Is burning witches biblically justified?

Yes.

In the Old Testament, God was forming a people, a nation, for himself who would be faithful to him and honoring him.

“When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you.” (Deuteronomy 18:9-12).

To appreciate this, we need to understand God’s holiness. How he is utterly pure, loving, true and kind. When we turn to witchcraft and rebel we are turning to evil to get our own way, rather than following his way and becoming what we were intended to be in accordance with his purposes for his creation. Witchcraft and idolatry are Satanic. The Israelites are called to be holy, a people separated from other nations, living to worship and trust God alone. However, they are not instructed to go beyond the boundaries of the promised land to judge those who practice these things.

In the New Testament, God calls all people to repent and put their faith in Christ. Jesus has paid the redemption price for anyone who believes in him. Repentance would mean they would need to completely reject any rebellion against God, including witchcraft, and trust and follow Christ. Those who practice these things will not have any inheritance from God.

“Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:20-21).

If a Christian were to practice witchcraft we(the church) would need to work patiently to help them turn around, repent, and return to the faith. However, after doing our utmost they refuse to repent then they should be disciplined by the church.

“But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.” (1 Corinthians 5:11-13).

The church is God’s people, we shine the light of God’s love in the world, and witchcraft has no place amongst God’s people. In the Old Testament the Israelites was supposed to kill them. But they were disobedient to God and allowed them to fluorish, which forced God to rise up individuals to execute them. In today's time they are to be dealt with through fasting and spiritual warfare prayer which Christians rarely do unless under extreme distress.

Now there are times when killing a witch in this age is ok with God. It occurs when the witch is astral projecting into your space trying to kill you. You can command angels to cut off their silver cord and that will instantly kill them by separating their body from their soul and spirit permanently. Other occasions where killing a witch is ok is when it's a result of fasting and spiritual warefare prayer where they're no longer protected by their demons and Gods angels deal with that person directly or they orchestrate circumstances where that witch is killed.

Exodus 22;18–20 KJV. They do human blood sacrafices to false gods, is that Justified. The real God is Judge, jury and Executioner, and no one can do anything about it .You have the Option to repent and turn to the real God .Before time is up.
