Why the false pretense ? , why the fake? If you know your not for or of God why pretend . For your not hurting anyone but yourself , and your secret is safe with yourself. You can stay in the closet and don't come out. To be honest you cannot be a undercover christian for you do not work for a spy agency , so your either for God or your not. Seeing that you are undercover it's not. But their is one person that knows who you really are , and you cannot hide from Him He know your true motive.


From this person you cannot hide your feelings ,you cannot pretend you cannot be someone that you are not . (Matthew 23:27–28)-“27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.”

The word says why try when it can be seen who you are for real . If you’re putting on this air of righteousness, which is to make yourself out to be something you’re not, that is the sin of Pride and you’re not doing this for the Glory of God. Similarly, if you set yourself apart to impress others, you’re not doing this for God. I hear self.

It is and you shouldn’t do it if you’re actually not in a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you are then Christ lives inside of you, and you don’t have to pretend to be holy… Because Christ lives through you.

This is what the Bible says about people who fake it.

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” II Timothy‬ 3.

It’s a sin against your true self, your soul. You are letting yourself down by pretending someone you’re not. Being a fake. This will not bring you happiness as you lay at night thinking about your lies and phoniness. You’ll end up miserable.

My advice, if you have flaws, fix the ones you can. Always try to better yourself. Read a lot, you will learn about things and your mind / knowledge will expand and you will learn a lot about yourself. You will fall in love with yourself when you see the progress you make on yourself. No one is perfect and you will not reach the level of perfection BUT you will be happy with results of working on yourself to be a better person.

For God is creator of all . and all is created by Him and for Him , but that still does not mean that all is for Him .
