L.O.V.E-The most misunderstood,misused,misguided ,misinformed ,mistreated, misinterpreted,misspelled word that both so called Christians, Believers, saved,Unsaved,Unbelievers,Secular,Church goers,Religious people Etc,and none who use it has it's true meaning. Why is that? This could be or it comes down to many factors. If we were not brought up in a loving caring environment.if we are not taught to love ourselves. Among other thing such as a family that had a warm environment for one to grow up in. We will see that the understanding of this emotion becomes highly misunderstood. And the word love becomes the norm , and there's the problem.
Yes there different types of love ,but the love that is being used by the people of the world is being used in the wrong context. For this love and not the others is so widely used that it's harder to know what it is. This is what the bible says on this . Scripture. 1 Corinthians 13:4–8a (ESV) Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Nice ,but the opposite of 1 Corinthians 13:4–8a is what we do.
Here is short list of the loves that we use ,and still do not understand ; the 4 types of biblical love?
1 Storge – empathy bond.
.2 Philia – friend bond.
.3 Eros – romantic love.
.4 Agape – unconditional "God" love.
Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus showed His love for others by blessing and serving the poor, the sick, and the distressed. He told His disciples, “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you” (John 15:12; John 13:34–35 . Many do not these thing ,but they confess to love .
He(God) wants us to experience incredible, life-changing love, mercy, and compassion not only from him, but from those around us. And he wants us to show that love to others. The call to love and help others in tangible ways — especially those weaker than ourselves — runs throughout the Bible.
What is the importance of love in the Bible? "Love doesn't do anything wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is what fulfills the Law." The Good News: There are many rules God wants you to follow, but chief among them is to love one another. You can never go wrong spreading love. "No one has ever seen God.
What is the power of God's love?When filled with God's love, we can do and see and understand things that we could not otherwise do or see or understand. Filled with His love, we can endure pain, quell fear, forgive freely, avoid contention, renew strength, and bless and help others in ways surprising even to us.
