Alone , but never lonely. What is being said here? We can address this 2 ways. The 2 ways are physical and the other is spiritual. I prefer the spiritual first. The bible says that it is best that a man not to marry or to stay single.

, but if he cannot abstain then it’s best that he marry, but if he can abstain then it's best that the man stay single. Now with marring part when he marries the bible says that he will be divided. For if he does marry he’ll have to please his wife and God. which is good also for the word of God says each man must have his own wife , and not someone elses.

His mind will be in 2 places , so he’ll become double mind having to please 2 sets of people at the same time. So Paul is indicating that the best recourse or the best course of action is to stay single for it’s a gift from God . For God want you for himself and His service.

By being single we can serve God with a clear and focus mind bent on God and His will. Not saying that there's any wrong with marriage. Now for the other side of this coin it is not spiritual , but physical and if we’re honest with ourselves here the reason why many do not like to be alone part of it all comes down to sex It comes down to “ let’s get physical”.

So the fear of being alone comes down to companionship & sex , and the church is forcing people to marry for the fear of pre-marital sex , and when the marriage fails we go back to square 1.
We’re lonely all over again because of the church and the flesh .The wrong message is being taught ,and the outcome is sad we need to follow God’s plan for marriage & singleship. That is for another post at a later date and time.
